The Donjoy Telescoping Cool ELS Knee Brace features a slide lock mechanism at the hinge enabling it to lock at full extension or have free range of motion. The ELS brace has telescoping side hinge bars allowing it to extend in order to fit individuals 5'6" and taller. The cool abbreviated padding design is especially useful in warmer environments over more traditional full foam varieties that can get hot and uncomfortable. The brace is ideal for post-op use when full extension weight-bearing protocols are used. The Cool ELS gives improved patient comfort with abbreviated foam. An ankle stirrup can also be ordered which attaches to the bottom of the brace and fits inside your shoe to prevent the brace from sliding down your leg.
