The DeRoyal Oil Emulsion is a non-adhering Sterile, knitted cellulose fabric dressing impregnated with oil emulsion blend that promotes a moist wound environment for optimal healing. It is considered non-occlusive (wound exudate flows away from the wound and is held in the secondary dressing) and will not stick to the wound. Suitable for heavily draining wounds (both infected and non-infected), surgical incisions, burns, skin grafts, donor sites, dermal ulcers, suture lines, and lacerations
DeRoyal Oil Emulsion Non-Adhering Wound Dressing Features:
- Sterile, knitted cellulose fabric dressing impregnated with oil emulsion blend.
- Non-adherent to wound site.
- Non-occlusive, allowing flow of exudate away from wound site into secondary dressing.
- Heavily draining wounds flow through to the secondary dressing, leaving the oil emulsion to moisturize and enrich the skin while minimizing maceration or irritation.
- Helps maintain a moist wound environment.
- Primary dressing type.
- Can be trimmed or cut to the desired size or shape.
Application:
- Apply saline or sterile water to irrigate (cleanse) wound.
- Dry the surrounding skin with care.
- Open pouch of the Oil Emulsion Dressing.
- Trim Oil Emulsion Dressing if desired. Put dressing directly on wound.
- Cover using a secondary dressing.
- Change when cover dressing is saturated.
Recommended Manufacturer HCPC: A6222 (for 46-620) and A6223 (for 46-621 or 46-622).
