How Does It Work? It provides support both above and below the knee for maximum comfort and effectiveness: Above the knee strengthening occurs by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap, reducing the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the under-surface of the kneecap. Below the knee, the strap applies pressure on the patellar tendon below the kneecap to help stabilize and tighten up the kneecap mechanism; this improves patellar tracking and elevation, plus reduces Patellar subluxation.
