The Breg Solus Plus Knee Brace provides support and stability for patients with medial compartmental osteoarthritis (OA). Designed for activities of daily living, Solus Plus delivers effective load dispersion to relieve the symptoms of OA. It features Breg's exclusive thumbwheel hinge technology, which provides an effective valgus load to the knee.
Compared to double hinge models, the Solus Plus knee brace is capable of offloading with up to 10mm of telescoping thrust across the joint through it's condyle pad. I Turning the thumb wheel, located on the outside of the hinge, telescopes the gel condyle pad inward for easy off-loading adjustments. This creates the amount of desired thrust necessary to unload the knee joint. The Breg Solus is made out of lightweight, high-strength aluminum and features ample padding under the thigh and calf portions of the frame. it's both effective and comfortable to wear underneath clothes for all-day wear. The offloader knee brace is designed to treat mild to moderate medial uni-compartmental OA, and is ideally suited for normal to large size individuals with disproportionate leg shapes.
