The Hely Weber Knapp Hinged Knee Brace #5656, 5656HH is a complete multipurpose knee brace that's hard to beat.  The Knapp knee brace 5656 can be used for sports injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return to activity following knee surgery.  It's constructed of Kuhl™ perforated neoprene for cool, comfortable compression in hot environments.  Compared to more traditionally styled neoprene braces, the Knapp Hinged Knee Brace 12" #5656 comes in a 12" length that's suitable for most individuals.  You can customize the product with your choice of hinge types: the standard hinge is made out of aluminum and offers great support and solid protection for most types of activities.  The heavy hinge (HH) features thicker aluminum in the side hinge bars and is better suited for athletic use to prevent side impact injuries during contact sports.
